I visited the cave of Choranche (name in French: Grotte de Choranche) last Friday 22/5/2009 with the family. The cave is located in a chain of mountains called the Vercors. It is about 45 minutes drive from Grenoble.
Inside the cave, it was cold -- it was about 10°c while it was 30°c outside the cave, you can enjoy the view of the natural lakes, rivers and a unusual shape of a specie between white fish and snake known as Olm. This 'fish' is the most intriguing animal of the subterranean world. It has survived from the dinosaurs' era.
